Understanding the Different Types of Auras and Their Meanings
We all possess an aura, even if we cannot see it; that is precisely what an aura is.
In Theosophy—the esoteric spiritual movement popularized in the late 19th and early 20th centuries—the human aura is conceived as a multi-layered, multicolored electromagnetic pattern that radiates your physical health, your thoughts, and the evolution of your soul.
In scientific terms, the closest equivalents to what we call an "aura" are the human biofield, the biomagnetic or electromagnetic field, and even the bioelectric field.
Early Theosophists, such as Helena Blavatsky, Charles Leadbeater, and Annie Besant, wrote extensively about the "Auric Egg." They taught that the aura is not merely a vaporous cloud, but a highly structured network of energy bodies.
Are there different types of auras? According to Theosophical texts, YES.
The health aura (etheric double): This is the densest layer, closest to the physical body. It acts as a bridge that absorbs vital energy (*prana*) from the sun and radiates a bluish-white light. When you are ill, this energy wanes. It is the aura connected to your body.
"Your aura is the unique signature of your soul's current frequency." — Unknown
The astral (emotional) aura: This layer extends further outward and reflects your fleeting moods, passions, and emotional desires through fluid, constantly changing colors. It is the part of your aura connected to the movement of your light as it flows around you; it stems from your emotion (energy in motion) the vibration your body generates simply by existing.
The word "emotion" comes from the Latin verb *emovere*, which literally means "to move out," "stir up," or "agitate." In the 1900s, philosophers began using "emotion" in its modern sense: a strong, internal feeling or state of mind (like love, anger, or fear) that "moves" or stirs a person.
The mental aura: This layer houses your thoughts, your intellect, and your reasoning abilities. In highly intellectual or meditative individuals, this layer is broader and more stable. formed by your intention to create. Let us remember that The word "mind" comes from the Old English noun ġemynd, which originally meant memory, remembrance, or thought.
Basically the thought form [ MInd ] -> flows as the E-Motion [ the movement of the though form through you as feeling] -> It emanates a color and that color it is the effect of the coherence between the your though and your feeling or the absence of it.
Lets Remember that that Mind in The history starts with the ancient root *men-, meaning "to think" or "to remember". It formed the noun *méntis, meaning "thought". Modern English: By the 14th century, the related verb forms appeared ("to remember"), and over time the noun expanded to cover all mental functions, including thought, feeling, and reason.
Now, Colors change according to emotions; However, in some people, one or two colors always predominate.

Your mind and emotions directly create and shape your aura, which energy healers and spiritual traditions view as the subtle energetic field surrounding your body. Because the etymologies of these words represent stillness (mind) and movement (emotion), they affect your aura in two distinct, complementary ways.
If your aura is not aligned, it will look dull; Therefore, taking care of your energy is essential. I hope this is useful to you. Grethel.
